National Barista Championship
A stage where baristas from across India compete under real-time pressure, showcasing skill and hospitality at their finest. This competition challenges baristas to prepare and serve espresso-based beverages to world-class standards. Competitors will be judged on their technical skills, presentation, creativity, and sensory evaluation of their beverages.

Competition Overview
The National Barista Championship is the premier barista competition in India. Competitors have 15 minutes to prepare and serve 4 espressos, 4 milk beverages, and 4 signature drinks to a panel of expert judges. This competition follows World Coffee Events rules and the winner earns the right to represent India at the World Barista Championship.
Requirements & Rules
Entry Requirements
- Must be actively working as a barista for minimum 12 months
- Previous competition experience recommended but not required
- Must provide own coffee beans (roasted within 14 days)
- Equipment familiarity with espresso machines and grinders
Competition Rules
- 15-minute performance time including setup and cleanup
- Must prepare 4 espresso, 4 cappuccino, and 4 signature beverages
- All beverages served to four sensory judges
- Technical judges monitor machine handling and cleanliness
- Strict guidelines on ingredient usage and presentation
- Penalties for time violations and safety infractions
