Competition Overview

The National Latte Art Championship tests baristas' ability to create stunning visual designs in coffee. Competitors go through preliminary and final rounds, creating both free-pour and designer patterns that are judged on visual attributes, creativity, and identical matching.

Requirements & Rules

Entry Requirements

Proficiency in free-pour latte art techniques
Experience with designer/etched patterns
Ability to create identical matching pairs
Professional barista experience preferred

Competition Rules

Preliminary round: 2 identical free-pour patterns
Final round: 2 free-pour + 1 designer pattern
8-minute time limit per round
Standard competition cups and milk provided
Symmetry and definition are key scoring factors
